Celebrate your day

Doodle Pantry has an adorable image for the month.  I colored the image and put Crystal Accents on the balloon.  I used a sentiment from a wonderful set from TLC.  I even made a yellow flower to try to keep the card bright and cheery.  However, just like the image there are times it's hard to be "up" on your special day.  I usually don't find it too hard especially if you are with family and friends.  Maybe this bird celebrated too much.

Keep your balls clean....

I have a friend who has a friend who is going to have heart surgery.  I was wanting to make a serious card, but he wanted a funny card to give.  So since they are golf buddies....this is what I came up with for him.  I added Crystal Accent to the glasses.  I made it into an easel card.  I just found out that the surgery was last week so I'm running a little late in getting this card done.....

Vintage Lantern

Next week will be my Dad's birthday and he collects vintage lanterns.  Tim Holtz has a die cut just for that so I couldn't pass that up.  I cut it out and then embossed it in Tim Holtz embossing powder.  I put Crystal Accent on the light portion.  The leaf patterned paper is from TLC.  It is funny, but my Dad appreciates the cards I make and is always interested in my techniques.
