Bunny Hop

This is a stamp that I just had to order since I think Magnolia stamps are just so adorable, and my kids' are so involved in dance.  I added a liquid applique to the tail, but I'm not sure it shows up well in the photograph.  The sentiment is from the TLC, Create club that just concluded yesterday.  Another club will be starting March 10th.  Yesterday we got 6.5 inches of snow so it is hard to believe that Easter is right around the corner.  I have to tell you of a wonderful thing, my parents bought us a great snow blower a couple Christmas' ago and we have been fortunate.  Our next door neighbor was out shoveling yesterday am and I went and helped him (and I did so a couple weeks ago).  He said that I didn't need to help him that he was alright with shoveling, but I said, "Let me help you finish this up, there isn't much left."  He went through cancer treatment this past year and is doing good and is always asking about my husband.  After I finished, he said, "I owe you."  And I told him, "You don't owe me, there wasn't that much to do."  Then yesterday I had a doctor appointment and ran some errands, I called my husband and was going to pick up some supper to bring home and he told me that the neighbor's wife had been over to deliver chili, bread, deviled eggs and would stop with dessert when it was finished.  WOW- we were not expecting that and it was delicious!!! It is wonderful to have such great neighbors.

Movie ticket

I'm a little late for the Oscar's, but in time for A Day for Daisies.  The Challenge is die cuts in which I used the Spellbinder label #22.  I was at Archiver's today, and they had some new Prima items that just sent me drooling....and here is one of them.  It is this metal embellishment that to me could pass as a movie reel.  The sentiment is from TLC, Create as well as the great paper.

Birthday Raccoon

We have a family friend who I need to get a birthday card out to.  This is a neighbor of my Mother's who son is turning 17.  When my Mom would babysit my children years ago she would get together with this neighbor who had children the same age so that the kids could play together.  Over the years, we have continue to stay friends.  Now that my daughter attends college in that area, she considers this Cody to be like a cousin to her because they have grown up together and now they do things together socially which is really neat.  Cody is on the Paint Ball team and my daughter is the secretary so they see each other on a regular basis.  It is comforting to me to know that she has a male watching out for her on campus.  This is card that I made for Owen.

Flower petal Wishes

Lili of the Valley has a Challenge for butterflies and I pulled out this stamp "Emma and the Rose Garden" which has butterflies over the roses.  I found this digital rose paper with a butterfly I just don't know the source.  And the sentiment comes from a great set from TLC, Create that has the one I used or butterfly wishes along with eight other wonderful sentiments.  I added a some Martha Stewart punched butterflies around the sentiment.

Torico has this as her free image for the month which I think is "sew" cute.  I added some twine and scissors from my die-namics along with a Prima heart crystal.  Right now, I'm having some problems getting the links to work properly on my computer since I installed a new computer program so I'm checking into that.

Warm cuddle

When my daughter was younger she carried around a blanket that was white (most of the time) with a mint green satin trim called "B".  It was cuddled and washed so that it was finally not much more than a tiny little square.  I have the once large blanket now in a ziplock bag so when Sassy Cheryl had this image it was a must have and so reminded me of Amanda.

Stand on your head

Today at TLC, Paulette has two freebies which are absolutely adorable, one being a vintage image and the other a sentiment that coordinates.  I made my card using these.  I used the simple Splitcoast sketch for this week and then added a Prima flower and flourish to the corner.  I just love these colors which happen to be the colors of the Play Date Cafe color challenge, but I already submitted a card for that, but Little Miss Muffet is also having a blue and yellow challenge.

Ellieana

My cousin just had a baby and her name is Ellieana and they plan to call her Elli.  My Aunt has been waiting for grandchildren and now is so exciting that both her daughters have daughters and they are about 5 months apart.  I used to babysit for these girls so it just seems awkward that they could be married and be Mothers.  I remember making Care Bear items for them, and now I'm looking for baby items for gifts.  I just wished they lived closer so that my daughter could babysit for them so it could be a complete circle, but oh well.  I made a card using one of Krista Smith's adorable images and one of Paulette's free images from TLC from the other week.

45th Anniversary

My parents will be celebrating their 45th Wedding Anniversary next week so I had to get their card done.  They happen to be taking a trip to Hawaii for two weeks so I needed to mail it early.  Paulette at TLC, Create had a club in which she made wonderful anniversary panels which I printed on a burgundy colored paper.  I tried to keep it simple and elegant.

All ears

Today is Pet Lover's Day and I have four cats.  If you have seen my web site before, you may have seen pictures of my fur balls.  I have three Siamese cats and one black cat.  Nala, the black cat is the oldest and is tortured by the Siamese cats, then Casio is our male alpha Siamese and then we have two sisters that are Jasmine (Jazzy) and Snookie.  I have worked part-time so Casio and Snookie like to be brushed and drink from the faucet so they will push their way into the bathroom with me.  They just don't understand that there are days that I have to hurry get ready and then there are days that I am fine with all the grooming and doting on them.  I have wanted to give Nala away to someone who doesn't have any other cats, but my husband just doesn't want to part with her.   I feel so badly for her since the sister tend to gang up on her like the brats on the Aristocrats.  The Siamese are sweet and loving to us; however, to each other they are mean.
Please check out the TLC website since Paulette has freebie papers and images today and she also had some on Monday for Pet Lovers Day.  She also has A LOT of pet items in the store.  One of my favorite sets is one for doggy heaven which I have sent many friends cards when their best friends have passed.
For this card I used one of TLCs sentiments with an image from Paulette's daughter Bri which is available through the website also it is Vintage download - Girl, child, puppy.  It is quite a deal so check it out!

Another card with the Circling Sayings Sentiment set from TLC.  I tried to make this a little humorous.  The image is from Mayzy Art called Lorelei. I embossed the circle with the Cuttlebug shell and nautical items and then rubbed it with Color Box chalk.  I used my Die-namics anchor die.
